THE TWO-MINUTE GUIDE

How bidding works

1

Create your account, get your paddle

Sign up with your email and you're assigned a paddle number — that's all other bidders ever see of you. Your name stays private except to the auctioneer when you win (so pickup works).

2

Bid once — we bid for you

Tap Bid for the next increment, or better: set a maximum bid. Auction Arkansas bids on your behalf in small standard steps, only as high as someone forces it, and never above your max. Nobody — not even the auctioneer's competitors — can see your maximum. The price never jumps straight to it.

3

No sniping — the clock fights back

If someone bids in the final minute, the clock extends. Every bidder gets a fair last word, so there's no reward for swooping in at the buzzer. Lots marked "Reserve" have a seller minimum; the badge flips to "Reserve met" when bidding gets there.

4

Know what you'll pay before you bid

Every lot page shows the sale's disclosed buyer's premium and sales tax up front — your final invoice is the hammer price plus those. Some sellers offer card payment with a small disclosed convenience fee — paying cash at pickup always skips it.

5

Win, get your invoice, pick up

The moment a sale settles, your Auction Arkansas bell rings and your invoice appears with everything you won — including the exact pickup address, which is shared only with winners for everyone's security. Pay the auctioneer directly — their pay link or cash at pickup — and you're done.

6

Fair to both sides of the gavel

Every sale is run by a licensed, verified auctioneer. Bids only move through the auction engine, seller peeks at bidder maximums are permanently logged, and bad behavior — from either side — can be reported from any sale and leads to removal.

The bid increments

Bids rise in fixed steps so nobody wins by a penny — the same ladder everywhere, straight from the auction engine:
